VI LAN TRAINER

The existing Ethernet card of a PC and RISC based Ethernet Interface of the Network Emulator of ViLAN-01 from as a single NIC card. This is using the already familiar Networking environment.

Each NIC provides One Server and Three Nodes for testing all Protocols and Topologies.

Three Nos of NIC cards provided for one LAN Trainer.

One LAN Trainer (ViLAN - 01) Provides three NIC cards      at a Network Emulator.

Real time graphical representation of entire transmission & reception.

Each network emulator provides one Serial to Serial communication for two PCs.

One Parallel to Parallel communication for two PCs.

NIC-1 card is provided with three LCDs (20 x 4 character) to display all information for each nodes to study the three types of topoloyies in detail.

NIC-2 & NIC-3cards are provided with each one LCD of (20 x 4 character) for studying other features of Networking protocols & Topology.

All nodes terminated at RJ45 connectors, which gives the students to real networking world.

Each network emulator will provide total of Nine nodes.

Packet Size   :  User variable.

Inter packet Delay (ms): 1000.2000. 3000, 4000, 5000 ms.

Error Generation

# Bad Packet, Acknowledgment lost and Manual error generation.

# At each NIC card, two switches provided for Frame and Bit error generations.

    

Wireless LAN Protocol study made possible by providing 2 Nos of IEEE 802.11b Wireless interface cards.

Built in Protocols, Network and graph analysis.

Sample 'C' Programs files provided for project purposes.
